Village of Ashville Community Update

Welcome, New Council Member-

Welcome Jesse Burke as the newest member of the Village Council! Jesse was voted in on September 2nd and sworn in on September 15th. He is filling the seat left by Randy Loveless, who resigned in August after many years of service. Good luck, Jesse!

Projects Around Town-
Randolph Street Project – progressing well and expected to wrap up in the next 2–3 weeks.
South Meter Shed Project – still on schedule. We’ve asked contractors to scrape and sweep roads at the end of each day to help keep things clean.
Pothole Repairs – more grinding and patching will take place this fall.
New Water Plant- we're waiting on the EPA to approve the new well site permit before we put the new water plant out to bid.

Fall Leaf Pickup-
Leaf collection begins mid-October and will continue through the second week of December.

West Side Park Upgrades-
A new shelter house will be built in the west side park within the next 4 weeks. New tables, trash cans, and updates to the playground equipment will also be added in the spring.

Safety Reminder-
With construction projects underway and children active around the village, please drive carefully and stay alert.

Thank You, Residents-
We know construction projects can cause inconveniences, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. These improvements will be worth it in the end and will benefit our entire community.

Special thanks to Mayor Steve Welsh and council members Colton Henson, Matt Scholl, Dave Rainey, Roger Clark, Chad Noggle, and Jesse Burke for their continued support and leadership.

If you have questions or comments, please leave me a message anytime at bkcline@ashvilleohio.gov or by calling our office at 740-983-6367 and pressing 6.

Best Always,
Bert Cline

🚨 BOIL ALERT – IMMEDIATE RELEASE 🚨
Immediate Release to residents on Randolph Street.
The Ashville Water Department is issuing a water outage and boil water alert for Randolph Street between Station Street and Madison Street. This boil alert is due to the new water line that was installed. Although the first test has come back absent of TC, out of caution we ask the residences in this area to boil all tap water at a rolling boil for at least 2 minutes prior to consumption. The boil water alert remains in effect for 48 hours until we can confirm no contamination is possible and issue an all-clear. If water has been open to air, a water quality test will be performed and if any problems are detected the alert will be extended to another 24hrs and you will be notified in person. As an alternative to to boiling water, people may use bottled water. You may, because of the outage experience darker colored water. (Rust Particles).
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
