Fiscal Officer
Fiscal Officer, Barbara Gilbert
Â
|
As the Fiscal Officer, I am responsible for attending council and committee meetings; keeping a record of all proceedings, rules, bylaws, legislation, and annexation of property; maintaining an accurate statement of all money received and expended; certifying of funds and ensuring that the amount set aside for appropriation not be overdrawn or credited to the wrong account. Bi-annual audits are handled through my office, as well as the yearly tax budget and yearly appropriations. The Fiscal Officer is the keeper of all records; thus, record retention is also handled through my office. I have worked at the Village of Ashville for over 11 years, and my mission is to assist the residents as efficiently as possible. I believe in an open-door policy. |
