With the constant change of all the Covid 19 Virus, some changes are taking place within the Ashville Police Department to protect you and our staff. Effective immediately, we will not be responding to non-emergency calls for service. First let me define what emergency calls we will respond. We will always respond to Threats of Physical harm in progress or Felony in Progress calls.

Non-emergency calls that require documentation will have the reports handled over the phone. NO ONE will be brought into the station for reports, statements or to visit. We are requesting that all statements, photos, etc. be forwarded by e-mail or Evidence.com. If you need further information or clarification call 740-983-3112.

My first concern is the safety and wellbeing of my officers and staff, the residents of Ashville, and the general public. Other law enforcement agencies are developing their Covid-19 procedures. We are working in collaboration with them. Therefore, there may be future changes to specific way these polices are implemented.
